Bernardita Silva is a Director in the Project & Structured Finance team at SMBC, based in the Santiago office. She leads the origination, structuring, and execution of project finance and structured debt transactions across Chile.
She joined SMBC in 2019 and was based in New York from 2022 to 2025, where she played a key role in leading the execution of multiple project finance deals, financial advisory mandates, and structured acquisition financings in the power and renewables sectors throughout Latin America.
Bernardita serves on the Board of the North American Chilean Chamber of Commerce and is an active member of We Are MEF (Mujeres en Finanzas) in New York.
Prior to joining SMBC, she held positions at Itaú Corpbanca and Santander in Chile.
